The Longevity God originated in Chinese Taoism and was commonly know as Shou.
Shou was the third member of the Three Star Gods of Happiness (Fu), Prosperity (Lu), and Longevity (Shou).

The Longevity God also plays a role in the Japanese Seven Lucky Gods where known as Fukurokuju.
He is Known for being the god of wealth, happiness, and longevity. A personification of the southern polar star.
