The goose is standing right next to the man and its Wings outstretched. The wings are well carved and you can see that the artist learned the animal and it moves before creating the statue.
The old man is well carved and the artist pays extra attention to the details on the man face. The beard is described perfectly, his wrinkles, eyes and eyebrows looks human.
There are small parasols at the back of the statue which represents giving protection by deflecting misfortune.
